Premier League 2026/27 Best Futures Bets
The transfer window is closing, preseason has answered several important questions, and a handful of Premier League futures still haven’t fully adjusted. These are the five best future bets I believe offer the most value before the season begins.
Odds are subject to change. Prices updated August 20, 2026.
Haaland Is Still the Safest Bet in the Golden Boot Race
I took this bet on July 25th. The odds at this moment are between -135 and -150, and I would opt for a 1.5u instead of 2 with these odds if you missed the bet in July.
Even though I usually prefer to wait until most of the major transfer business is completed before making season-long bets, this is a price we simply cannot ignore. DraftKings is currently offering +120, while most European sportsbooks have already moved this market to around -150. That is an enormous discrepancy and represents outstanding value. I fully expect these odds to shorten, so this is a bet worth taking as soon as possible.
As for the bet itself, I genuinely believe this is one of the strongest futures wagers available for the 2026/27 season. Haaland finished as last season's top scorer with 27 league goals, comfortably ahead of Brentford forward Igor Thiago, who finished second with 22. After an outstanding World Cup campaign, I expect Haaland to carry that momentum into the new season.
The inflated price is likely driven by uncertainty surrounding Manchester City following Pep Guardiola's departure. However, I don't believe that concern should significantly impact Haaland's chances of winning another Golden Boot. City don't need to be as dominant as they have been in previous years, they simply need to remain one of the league's highest-scoring teams. Under Guardiola's former assistant, Enzo Maresca, I fully expect them to continue creating plenty of chances. If City score somewhere in the 70-75 goal range and Haaland avoids a significant injury, I have very little doubt that the Norwegian will finish the season with another individual scoring title.
Erling Haaland — Premier League Top Goalscorer
Arsenal Have Everything Needed to Repeat
Last season, Arsenal were the best and by far the most consistent team, deservedly winning the title. Their defense looked excellent, and even though they will miss Arsenal defender Saliba for a few months, I think they have the players to replace him successfully. To be fair, sometimes they had problems on offense, but the 23 set-piece goals last season often made the difference between a draw and a win. That will not disappear this season, and those set-piece goals should be there for the Gunners.
For this season, I think they only got better and deeper, which will allow them to rotate more without losing quality. The signings of Arsenal winger Tzolis and Arsenal midfielder Guimaraes have been amazing, even though many football pundits doubted Tzolis. However, he looked excellent and should only get better.
Lastly, and maybe most importantly, Arteta is by far the longest-tenured coach among the top six. Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham all have new coaches, while Manchester United appointed Carrick in January 2026. So, continuity is firmly on Arsenal's side.
Arsenal — Premier League Winner
Hull City Look Overmatched From Day One
Hull City secured a pretty unexpected promotion to the Premier League. Last season, I would say they weren't among the favorites to even secure the Playoffs. However, they somehow reached it from last place and then once again surprised by beating both Millwall and Middlesbrough.
However, whenever a team reaches an unexpected promotion, that tends to go very poorly for them in the Premier League. I simply think it is too soon for them and that they lack the quality compared to the rest of the league. Also, I strongly believe that the other two promoted teams did a much better job in the summer and that they have a better chance of avoiding last place.
Looking strictly at the numbers at the moment, Hull City has by far the lowest total market value of all Premier League teams at 144.3 million euros. Just for comparison, Coventry has 273.35 and Ipswich Town 317.65. That often doesn't mean much, but Hull's number is super low, and I do not think they will make some massive moves, as Ipswich did.
For example, Ipswich recently signed two highly-rated players from Strasbourg, Ipswich Town winger Abdoul Ouattara and Ipswich Town midfielder Julio Enciso, while they had already made several impressive moves earlier in the summer. Meanwhile, Coventry did an excellent job last season and were by far the best team in the Championship. Considering all of that, I find it difficult to see Hull closing that gap and competing with the other promoted sides.
Hull City — To Finish Last
The Market Is Underrating Nottingham Forest Again
Nottingham are coming into the season after a pretty terrible campaign, finishing 16th and going through four different managers. Despite all that, they still managed to pick up 44 points. Last season, they also played in the Europa League and still almost reached this threshold.
For this season, I think they have a big upgrade on the bench in Oliver Glasner, and no European football. In my calculations, that is worth a lot of points. Yes, they lost Nottingham Forest midfielder Anderson, but Glasner will find a way to replace him.
Also, Nottingham's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, is a very difficult man to work with, but I think he is aware of last season's mistakes and that he will not make the same ones. Moreover, since he is very ambitious, I wouldn't be shocked if he spent a lot more money in the last days of the transfer window and added one or two very good players who could potentially give them a chance for an upper-half finish.
Moreover, if you can find good odds on Nottingham making a deep run (semi-finals, for example) in the FA Cup or EFL Cup, I would take those bets as well because Glasner has a reputation as a Cup specialist.
Nottingham Forest — Over 48.5 Points
Christos Tzolis Is Built to Rack Up Assists
Tzolis joined Arsenal this summer after an impressive last season at Club Brugge, in which he recorded 29 assists and 22 goals in 52 appearances.
To be fair, there are a lot of questions about how he will transition to a more physically demanding football in the Premier League. However, judging from the first game in the Community Shield, he fits like a glove for this team, as he already recorded two assists against Manchester City. If he continues with such good performances in the opening game against newly promoted Coventry, the odds will drop significantly. So, we should take this bet as soon as possible.
Also, a big reason for this bet is that it seems Arsenal won't sign any big stars on the left wing if Arsenal winger Martinelli leaves. If that is the case, Tzolis should be Arsenal's first option, which should help him grab at least ten assists.
Christos Tzolis — 10+ Assists
